IMPORTANT INFO
WEBMAIL USERS:
If you use WEBMAIL exclusively or have any contact info that you’d like to save that is in WEBMAIL and you don’t have copies on your local email, it is imperative that you migrate any Contacts or Calendar events from your current webmail client to the new webmail client, and that you move any files in Storage Folders to a new service. At the end of May, the legacy webmail will be permanently decommissioned and only the new WEBMAIL will be available.
See below for instructions on how to export your contacts from the old mail client and import them into the new mail client.
To export your contacts in old/current Webmail:
- Log in to the webmail portal
- Navigate to Contacts icon
- Select Export as either CSV or as a vCard
Import your Contacts into New Webmail
- Log in to the new portal:
- Select Contacts in the left-side menu
- Click Import in the top-right menu
- An Import contacts window will pop up; Webmail supports both CSV files and vCard
- Attach your exported contacts file and click Import
Your contacts have been imported into the new webmail client!
Recreate your Archive folder
Any Archive folder and its contents in the legacy portal will be accessible in the new portal as a regular folder. To reassign that folder as an Archive folder, follow the steps below. Please note, these instructions assume you are already logged in to the new Webmail client.
- Navigate to Settings
- Select Preferences, then click Special Folders
- Under Main Options, open the drop-down menu next to Archive and select the desired folder
- To automatically order your archive into sub-folders, select your preference from the drop-down list of options
- Click Save
If your Archive folder already has sub-folders, these are also accessible but may be disabled by default. To enable:
- Navigate to Settings
- Select Folders
- Add a check-mark next to each sub-folder you want to enable
You have successfully set up your Archive folders and sub-folders.
Calendar
If you use the online calendar, make sure you print or save your info that you may need as it may not move over to the new system.
